Iowa Park man gets suspended

An Iowa Park man has been given a suspended sentenced and probation in connection with a wreck in late 2022 that killed one man and injured two others, according to court documents. Jerry Ashton Tidwell, 24, pleaded guilty Friday to intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault with a vehicle and was given a 10-year suspended prison sentence, probation and a $3,000 fine. Intoxication manslaughter is punishable by up to 20 years in prison, and intoxication assault with a vehicle is punishable by up to 10 years.
